It’s Time To Share Your Voice With The World
Issue #28
As I was making my way through the remaining lessons I haven’t covered here yet, I landed on the opening chapter of my book – The Quiet Trailblazer. Until recently, it has been the underlying theme of my life. I’m all for taking on new things, but I am happy to do so quietly and efficiently and without any fanfare. Unfortunately, this does not always help in serving the greater good.
My consulting business was born because of few close friends in the painting industry told me I needed to share what I had created with the world so others could benefit. My book was written as a gift for my daughter, but then I realized so many other daughters (and women in general) could benefit from it, so I published it publicly.
So here is today’s lesson…
The World Needs To Hear Your Voice
Whatever your gift is, it was given to you for a reason, and you are the only one who can share it with the world from your unique perspective. The tricky thing about gifts however, is that we sometimes overlook our own because they come to us so easily.
When I created the systems and processes to streamline our rapidly growing family business, it didn’t feel like a big deal to me. Things were getting chaotic and we needed to bring back order and consistency. No problem, I’m great with systems, as it’s something I excel at naturally.
I put my head down and figured out how to update everything to fit our current needs. Then I went back to business as usual. But that wasn’t truly enough, which is where my friends, thankfully, chimed in. Now I get to help other small business owners streamline their operations for better efficiency and success, which is a huge weight off of the shoulders of those who are not good with systems and processes. My gift became a gift for them as well. 😎
Now, more than ever, we need every woman on the rise (aka – all of us) to stop being quiet trailblazers and use our voices and our gifts to the fullest.
When you get that gut feeling nudging you to speak up, take a deep breath and do so in a firm but loving way. When you have an ah ha moment or a big idea, don’t brush it off, explore it and see where it goes. And when you’ve used your gift to make an area in you life or business easier, consider if it could be helpful to others and then find a way to share it with those who may benefit. You’ll be surprised by how grateful those on the receiving end will be, and you may also inspire another woman to do the same. 😍
With you on the journey,
